Another Hungarian Classic from the "Secrets of Hungarian Cooking" TM as revealed by Chef Helen Czegeny (Ilona Szabo) through her delightful recipe videos.

This is one of those classic old Hungarian world recipes that never changes. It has been prepared this way for over 73 years in our family by Chef Helen Szabo Czegeny. This is a layered pork, sauerkraut and rice casserole. This is not a regional recipe rather a national Hungarian recipe.

Also known by other names - Kolozsvári Rakott Káposzta or Erdélyi Rakott Káposzta. Who can resist the juicy pork morsels surrounded by tender rice and tangy sauerkraut and smothered in sour cream?
